Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (MANA) is the state association of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), advanced practice nurses. We are dedicated to the professional interests of nurse anesthetists in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our main objectives are: patient safety through the advancement of the science and art of anesthesia, as well as the promotion of cooperation among nurse anesthetists, all medical professionals, hospitals, and other agencies interested in anesthesia.
Governor Healey’s Action to Reduce Anesthesia Care Barriers
Massachusetts patients now have increased access to safe, affordable anesthesia care. The state is the latest to opt out from federal regulations that require physician supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), also known as nurse anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists.

As a non-profit organization, MANA’s activities are funded largely by membership dues. To successfully achieve our mission, vision, and goals, however, MANA needs your financial help! We can’t reach our goals on membership dues alone.
Donate to MANA and help CRNAs to practice to the full extent of our training and education.
MANA is a 501c6 non-profit organization and donations are eligible as a business tax deduction. Your donations will be used to fund MANA’s business operations. Specifically, donations will support key legislative initiatives, our grassroots activities, and public relations.

The AANA also offers membership to RNs! AANA RN members receive all the benefits of being a member of the AANA and includes the opportunity to join a state nurse anesthesiology association at no additional cost. RNs joining the AANA and selecting Massachusetts as their state association, also become members of the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthesiology.
